Cyber Monday: Why is it called so?

Η Cyber Monday is the Monday after Black Friday, in other words, the first Monday after Thanksgiving in the US. This is actually one of the most important days of the year for trade, similar to Black Friday, the shops offer many of their products with significant discounts and promotions.

The difference with Black Friday deals which includes both brick and mortar shops, as well as eShops, is the fact that Cyber Monday is linked primarily with offers of online shops. It was named “Cyber Monday” in 2005 by Ellen Davis, vice president of the USA National Retail Federation.
