More information can be found below, along with a detailed list of cookies and pixel tags we use.
Essential to the functionality of the site and providing the Scrooge services you choose. Without these, functionalities such as logging in to your account, the usage of «smart cart», sorting products etc would not be possible. Some more functionalities include the prevention of malicious use of Scrooge services, transaction security, as well as the storage of your privacy setting. According to the law, these do not require your consent.
These allow us to continuously improve Scrooge services, by collecting and analysing statistical data regarding your navigation to our site from elsewhere, as well as the site’s traffic as a whole (eg. common searches, visitor volume), and your particular interaction with our services. Third parties may have access to this data.
These allow for personalised experience in Scrooge. The filters you use (eg shoe sizes), as well as the searches you make and products you browse allow us to provide you with the best possible Scrooge experience, make suggestions and help you find what you are looking for.
Your interaction with Scrooge services is used by third parties for analysis and commercial/advertising purposes by those parties
Below you will find more information about your choices and you will be able to choose between them.
You have two choices. Either go ahead with accepting all cookies and other tools («Accept all»), which will result in having access to all functionalities we have created for you being enabled, a fuller and personalised experience, or you can personalize your choices regarding cookies which can greatly hinder your Scrooge experience («Save selection»).
Essentials are installed by default when visiting Scrooge as they are absolutely necessary either from a technical point of view or in order to provide you with the Scrooge services you choose. No consent or other actions by you is required by law. Unfortunately, if you do not wish for them to be installed you would have to not use our services and manually delete them from your browser.
Preference, Performance and Targeting are installed only if you select «Accept all», which can be found either in the original basic informative pop-up, or the expanded pop-up (banner). We will remember your choice for one year. When that time has passed, or if you visit our site form another device or browser, you will be asked again.
Clicking the «Save selection» button, which can be found at the bottom of the pop-up (banner), installs any of the "Preference, "Performance", "Targeting" categories you have selected by checking the corresponding checkbox. We will remember your choice for one year. If you haven't selected any of the checkboxes and you click «Save selection», then only the "Essentials" will be installed and this choice will also be remembered for one year.
Each time you sign in to your account as a registered user of Scrooge, you will be asked through a special field («This is a public or shared computer») if you wish to not remain logged in. If you don't select it, each time you open your browser to visit Scrooge, you will not have to type in your credentials (username and password) all over again, but instead, you will have immediate access to your profile for one year or until you log out manually. If you select to not remain logged in («This is a public or shared computer»), you will have to type in your credentials. We will ask you every time you log in whether you are on a public or shared computer.
The choice to remain logged in or not is made in the way described above, and is independent of whether you accept all cookies («Accept all»), or some of them («Save selection»). The cookies used to keep you logged in is called _helmet_sofa and its default duration is 1 year. Alternatively, if you select («This is a public or shared computer») during logging in or signing up, its lifetime is limited to up to when you close your browser. This cookie might have additional functionalities as «Essential» or «Preference», depending on whether you have chosen «Accept all» or «Save selection».
You can change your choices regarding cookies and other tools on Scrooge at any time. At the bottom of this page, you will find two choices «Accept all» and «Save selection». Regardless of which one you choose last time we asked you through a popup about cookies and other relevant tools, you can alter your choices through those fields easily and without charge.
For example, if you have selected «Accept all» and changed your mind, you can, at the bottom of this policy, select any (or none) of the cookie categories you wish to be used from now on and click on «Save selection». That action will act as withdrawal of the consent you have already provided and will be in effect from that moment onward, namely those specific cookies and other technologies on your device will not be used by Scrooge from that moment onward.
In case you want to remove any cookies that were installed before your withdrawal of consent, you can do that manually, following the directions provided in the following section «Managing from within the browser».
